PRIVATE HOME, MOSELEY

Located 3 miles south of the city centre, Moseley is a popular cosmopolitan suburb of Birmingham.

The design provides a large extended living space to the rear of the house, including an extended kitchen and dining area and creating a great social area for the family to spend time together.

A part of the families love of Cornwall has been expressed in the design with the use of hung slate inspired by the owners love of South West England. The slate is combined with Western Red cedar and carried through as a feature in the interior, along with retaining an original brick archway and fireplace. A large oversized glazed sliding door opens up the interior space directly in to the garden. To the side the roof line rises steeply taking advantage of afternoon evening sun and provides a glimpse of the modern extension from the street.
